What Scanno stores in your browser

When you sign in, Scanno stores authentication tokens in your browser's local storage to keep your session active. Clearing site data or signing out removes these tokens from the browser. This local storage is necessary for signed-in features to work.

Scanno may also use essential browser storage for preferences and security. We do not currently use advertising cookies or sell browsing data.

Analytics

Scanno can use PostHog product analytics when it is enabled. This helps us understand aggregate usage such as page visits and feature interactions. We use this information to improve the product, not to build advertising audiences. If analytics is not enabled, Scanno does not load PostHog.

Camera and photo permissions

Scanno asks for camera access only when you choose to scan a barcode or take a photo. You can deny or revoke this permission through your browser or device settings. Photos you choose to upload are stored with Scanno and may be public when attached to public content.

Request your data or delete your account

To permanently delete your account, sign in, open your profile, choose Delete account, and type DELETE in the confirmation dialog. This action cannot be undone.

You can also request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing [email protected] with the subject line “Scanno privacy request”. Please send the request from the email address associated with your account.

We may ask for information to verify your identity before acting on an email request. We will review requests in line with applicable law. Details of what deletion removes are in our Privacy Policy.
